Gossip Girl’s resident hot mama Kelly Rutherford glows in a floral frock by Dior on Wednesday at cocktail party held at the Empire Hotel Rooftop in New York City.

Dior Beauty was celebrating brand ambassador and socialite Tinsley Mortimer’s cameo on the season two premiere of Gossip Girl. Guests included costars Nicole Fiscella and Matthew Settle (with wife Naama Nativ), actress/designer Tara Subkoff and models Jessica Stam and May Andersen.

Mortimer, Stam and Andersen also sported Dior. Settle was dashing in Dior Homme.

They have a lot of juicy gossip on the ‘Gossip Girl’ that involves sex and babies but now it looks like in real life one of the members of the cast is getting ready for a baby. No, it’s not one of the younger stars like Blake Lively or Chace Crawford, Matthew Settle has dished that his wife is expecting.

Life & Style Weekly reports that even though he’s unlucky in love on Gossip Girl, Matthew Settle is doing just fine in real life. The 38-year-old actor, who plays Rufus Humphrey on the CW hit, and his wife, actress-model Naama Nativ, are expecting their first child, a rep for the star confirms to Life & Style.

According to the report, Matthew shouted it from the rooftops, too, at the EMM Group Estate in New York’s Hamptons on Aug. 16. “He was sitting on a golf cart with Naama waiting to be taken up the driveway to the Estate, and he just blurted it out,” says a partygoer at the Don Julio–sponsored bash.

“He seemed so pumped about it, and Naama was glowing. And even though Matthew had to mingle with his cast-mates and the show’s producers during the party, he was so attentive to her. It was sweet.”

Before Penn Badgley and Blake Lively were outed as a couple (see PEOPLE’s exclusive pics here), Matthew Settle, who plays Penn Badgley’s TV dad on Gossip Girl helped to keep gossip about the relationship between the young lovers a secret.

But now that the cat is out of the bag, he says, “I think it’s nice.”

Settle offered fatherly insight about Badgley and Lively on his way into the Entertainment Weekly upfront party at The Bowery Hotel in New York on May 13. (The new couple also attended.)

When asked if he had advice for his TV son, Settle answered, “In real life, Penn rolls with the punches better than anybody … I don’t think he needs any advice.”

About keeping the relationship a secret before it was revealed, Penn’s TV Dad said, “you can prod and pry, but you don’t want to be too intrusive. I made my own assumptions,” he said. “But I didn’t want to talk about it, to get involved.”

Now that the news is out, Settle believes America will react positively. “I think people are going to love them as a couple,” he said. “They’re a very hot couple. They look good together. And I think they’re good for each other, so why not?”

Settle’s date at the event was his wife, Israeli born actress Naama Nativ, also an actress, who said that she plays “one of Adam [Sandler’s] Israeli girlfriends in his new film, You Don’t Mess with The Zohan.”

But Settle and Nativ have a solid bond. Married for two years, Settle said that he met Nativ, “in Los Angeles through friends.”
